Tom Feulner
Senior Specifications Writer
Tom Feulner is devoted—to specifications, to all Baltimore teams, to his family, his faith, and, of course, to telling a great story.
"It was a dark and stormy night… and a light shone in the window of a focused specifier, hard at work. Devoted to his client, his project, and the integrity of the technical knowledge he was putting to paper, this wasn’t your typical specifier—this was Thomas Feulner, an experienced, rational, and knowledgeable architect with over 30 years of expertise in writing content for projects."
Tom is deeply committed to understanding and fulfilling his clients’ needs and project goals. As a Conspectus specifier, he plays a crucial role in shaping the functionality and safety of the built environment. With meticulous attention to detail, he delivers high-quality results, adapts to challenges, ensures compliance, and, most importantly, builds trust with his clients and team members.
"My past experience included becoming a "go-to" person when asked questions about products and constructability. Yes, I am a specifier who thinks like an architect."
Tom has been deeply devoted to the Construction Specifications Institute throughout his career. Upholding trust placed in him by fellow members over a few decades, he served as President of the District of Columbia Metropolitan Chapter, as well as the many positions of board and leadership of the Middle Atlantic Region including Treasurer and President.
His dedication extends beyond his professional life. In addition to being a proud husband and grandfather, one of Tom’s greatest accomplishments, is serving as Grand Knight with the Catholic fraternal organization, the Knights of Columbus. His leadership, ethical decision-making, and commitment to service seamlessly translate into his work—ensuring excellence in specifications through responsibility, collaboration, and unwavering attention to detail.
